A pool shaped by visual rhythm. ZigZag Darkgreen is an 11 x 3.5 metre skimmer pool, subtly integrated into a rural setting. The surface? A ceramic tile from Robin Vermeersch’s ‘ZigZag’ series—more than just a finish, it’s a design element in its own right.
The tiles form a runner that extends from the coping, flows across the pool floor, and continues as the terrace on the opposite side. This carefully draped pattern accentuates the length of the pool and transforms the space into a seamless artwork of water and stone.
The magic lies in the details: the moving water causes a double distortion of the lines, creating a play of light and shifting perspective that keeps drawing the eye. This is more than a place to swim— it’s an architectural experience.
